Dr. Thomas Peltzer Attends Newark American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists Meeting

Many of the brightest, most experienced experts in Dental Anesthesiology came together in Newark, NJ  in September for an update meeting, presented by the renowned American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA). Now please keep in mind,  Newark is definitely NOT on my list of favorite places to visit. That said, the Sedation Dentist and Dentist Anesthesiologist Meeting was a great success.

As a member of the ASDA, I participated in the two days of state of the art dental lectures on how to better serve my patients.  Dentist Anesthesiologists from across the country, Canada and England gathered to present new material and review concepts to improve dental care for special needs patients and dental phobia patients who fear dentists. Many of these patients would never be able to undergo dental treatment were it not for the specialized knowledge and skill of the experts at this meeting.

A multitude of topics was thoroughly covered including the safe use of various anesthesia medications and how to choose the safest, most effective drug protocols, depending on specific patient needs. The dentists in attendance were all members of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, so the caliber of the information and sharing of methodologies was very high. It just does not get any better or more informative than these meetings.

A wonderful and productive time was enjoyed by all in attendance.
