Dental Phobia Patients Helped by CT Dentist Thomas J. Peltzer, DMD

Mary had avoided going to the dentist for twenty-five years. Even her memories of having her teeth cleaned were painful. Miraculously, she had never had a toothache or abscess in spite of her poor dental health. She could easily afford to go for dental treatment; that was not the issue. Fear was. And fear is a very powerful emotion.

Then one day Mary heard from her friend about our central CT office in Plainville, CT. Gentle Dental Care. Mary heard her friend retell how we had treated him with four root canals and four crowns in one visit under dental sedation while he was blissfully asleep. He didn’t remember anything about the visit and had virtually no discomfort afterwards.

This was too good to be true. Mary thought and thought about this idea and procrastinated. Finally she mustered up the courage to call us for an appointment. She was assured we would not do anything she did not want. We assured her we could examine her needs even without using “the pick.” She came in terrified but determined to explore what this idea of a sedation dentist was all about. Mary read the hundreds of stories and personal experiences of hundreds of other patients just like her whom we had helped with dental sedation.

Listening and understanding Mary played a large role in her slow conversion to the idea of trying dental anesthesia and dental sedation. She did her homework and checked out the experiences of other people with the same fears. She Googled us and found hundreds of other people had easily and successfully obtained dental care with our sedation dentistry expertise.

Now Mary smiles again without fear of embarrassment. Mary can comfortably chew and her gums no longer bleed when she even attempts to floss. The tooth whitening we did for Mary helped make her look much younger and more healthy again.

Fear of the dentist!  So often we hear “I’d rather have a baby than go to the dentist.” Millions of people share that same phobia that Mary had and are frightened into inaction as a result of dental fear. Kind of like a deer caught in a cars headlights! Few people understand our ability to provide the dental care you need and want while you are comfortably sleeping with sedation dentistry.

Someone once said, “If it’s been done before, it’s probably possible.” Call us today and learn about the miracle of sedation dentistry.
