Plainville Dentist Thomas Peltzer, DMD Pursues Advanced Anesthesia and Sedation Dentist Training With USC Faculty

Thomas Peltzer, DMD, a Plainville, CT dentist will be pursuing additional Advanced Anesthesia Training with faculty of the University of Southern California at Los Angeles in mid June 2011.

Dr. Peltzer believes that only by continuing to refine his state of the art skills with the newest clinical information in the practice of anesthesia, will he be best able to provide the safest and most comfortable care for his patients at Gentle Dental Care, a Central CT Dental office located in Plainville, CT.

Solis Surgical Arts, a Multi Specialty Surgical Center in Los Angeles, provides anesthesia services for dentists and physicians alike. This outpatient surgical center is staffed by Department of Anesthesiology faculty from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Peltzer has studied at the center for five previous weeks, providing anesthesia services during patient surgical care in Southern California while pursuing advanced training with the attending faculty dentist anesthesiologists.

Because of the unique and ideal ratio of two staff anesthesiologists to one visiting/training anesthesiologist, Dr. Peltzer will be better able to further refine his skills and knowledge. Training topics will include Advanced Airway Emergency management, preoperative patient assessment, integration of the unique needs of dental patients with respect to anesthesia during dental care and treatment of the medically compromised patient and patients with special needs.

As a premier sedation dentist in CT, Dr. Peltzer’s passion in the field of dental sedation is to continually refine his skills and knowledge to provide the optimal sedation dentistry for his patients in Connecticut.
