Patients often ask me why I am so passionate about excellence in providing Sedation Dentistry and Dental Anesthesia to those wonderful people we call patients. Trust me; I never envisioned myself becoming the premier best sedation dentist in CT until I pursued advanced Oral Surgery training. From then on I was committed to helping patients with the highest quality of Sedation Dentistry.
The opportunity to see high fear patients and patients with dental phobia totally relax or sleep through their dental treatment, while completely unaware of their dentistry being provided while under dental sedation, had a profound effect on me. I wanted to be able to help people in this way through Sedation Dentistry.
After years of training and weeks and months away from the office at great personal expense and considerable time away from my family to obtain the required advanced skills and knowledge required for excellence in Sedation Dentistry, Gentle Dental Care, a Central CT dental group practice is now the Premier Provider of IV Sedation Dentistry in CT.
I’m pleased to know patients come to us for their dental sedation needs from across CT plus MA, NJ, NY and RI. We provide hospital operating room level quality of safety and monitoring while providing all phases of dentistry and cosmetic dentistry for children and adults.
I also derive special emotional reward from helping patients with special needs who have few other choices when it comes to quality sedation dentistry.
CT has minimal opportunities other than Gentle Dental Care in Plainville, CT 06062, for patients who desire Sedation Dentistry due to dental phobia or prior negative dental experiences. We listen to and understand your fears. Our staff is highly trained to care for your physical and emotional needs as well.
Many dentists advertise sedation. Almost always, they are minimally trained in oral sedation only (use of pills). This minimal level of training is inexpensive to obtain and offers only marginal safety. Oral sedation would never be used alone for procedures in a hospital.
Sedation dentistry in a private dental office should be just as safe as in the hospital. Patients are medicated ahead of time in our office so they remember nothing about their visit. What’s not to like about that?
Such “oral sedation dentists” are also minimally experienced in predictably and immediately being able to achieve a comfortable level of amnesia, relaxation or sleep compared to the extensive experience and abilities I provide with IV Sedation Dentistry. We practice State-of-the Art Sedation Dentistry as any other anesthesiologist would, all day long, five days a week. Why go to any dentist when you can go to the Doctor’s Dentist, Thomas Peltzer, DMD.
